PARIS – A new bill has been tabled in France to impose a €5 levy on cheap fast fashion imports from brands such as SHEIN and Temu. The bill has been put forward by deputy of The Republicans (LR), Antoine Vermorel Marques. The MP claims French retailers face unfair competition from brands such as Shein which don’t have to adhere to the same social and environmental standards.
