LONDON – The Textile Recycling Association (TRA) has raised alarm bells over the looming collapse of the textile recycling sector, citing global market challenges as the primary culprit.

As the leading trade association representing over 75 per cent of the UK’s used textiles collectors and sorters, the TRA has issued a dire warning based on feedback from its members. Concerns within the industry stem from the looming inability to collect textiles from charity shops, recycling centers, and community textile banks due to processing plant capacity constraints.
