WASHINGTON – A member of the US Congress has called on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to investigate Chinese fashion retailer Shein due to concerns over the potential use of Xinjiang cotton in its products. Virginia Democratic Representative Jennifer Wexton, who co-sponsored the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA), has written to the multi-agency Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force (FLETF), a body chaired by the DHS.
