NEW YORK – A US lawsuit claims Shein, a major player in the ultra-fast fashion industry, has been engaging in extensive copyright infringement as a core part of its business strategy. It is alleged Shein is using artificial intelligence to mimic and mass-produce designs. Filed by artist Alan Giana in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the lawsuit accuses Shein of unlawfully using and manufacturing products adorned with his artwork without permission, sparking his copyright claim.
