WASHINGTON – US authorities have launched an investigation after claims were raised that imports of clothing by online retailer Boohoo may contain items made with slave labour links.
NGO Liberty Shared has submitted a petition to U.S. Customs and Border Protection concerning the potential prohibition of importation into the United States of apparel products sold by Boohoo PLC over fears “they contain in whole or in part materials made with forced labor,” under national laws.
