MEMPHIS – Almost one-quarter of cotton acreage planted in the United States this year is providing field-level environmental data through the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol.
The voluntary sustainability and traceability programme said participating farms account for 2.34 million acres of the 9.85 million acres planted with cotton for the 2026 crop year. This equates to around 24 per cent of the national crop.
