BRUSSELS – The European textile recycling industry is on the brink of crisis, with urgent action needed to prevent the collapse of a vital sector before regulatory support arrives. This is the warning of FEAD (the European Waste Management Association) and EuRIC (the European Recycling Industries’ Confederation). The two trade bodies are urging immediate intervention as the industry struggles to cope with mounting challenges ahead of the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes.
