WASHINGTON – A new global study by the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) found cotton’s irrigation footprint is significantly lower than has been widely reported. The research analysed data from 271 cotton-growing regions in 38 countries between 2020 and 2024. The study found innovative irrigation methods are making the industry more sustainable than ever before.
