COLOMBO – A new, vertically integrated textile park could potentially help Sri Lanka become a world leader in sustainable textile production. Announced in 2020, Eravur Fabric Processing Park is spread over 300 acres of land, 50 of which have been allocated for the park’s maiden investment of US$35m to establish a state-of-the-art fabric mill.

Negotiations are underway with two international companies to develop the remaining land, with the park forecast to attract a cumulative investment of US$300m.

The zone is also seeking further investments towards dyeing, washing, knitting, weaving, and other associated and ancillary activities.
