NEW YORK – Chinese online fashion brand Shein is taking its up and coming rival Temu to court claiming it hired social media influencers to make “false and deceptive statements” against the business. The filing has been made at the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Shein alleges Temu has been duping customers into downloading the Temu app using false social media accounts. Temu was only founded last year but many influencers are now pushing the brand above Shein.
