LONDON – A new report from the British Fashion Council (BFC) claims clothing, shoes and bags/accessories were the top 3 categories for online returns in 2022. The report notes that online sees a significantly higher rate of returns compared to bricks-and-mortar, with return rates at about 30 per cent for the former compared with 10 per cent for the latter. “High return rates therefore pose a serious challenge that is only growing in scale,” the report notes.
