ENSCHEDE – Dutch textile recycling innovator SaXcell has confirmed plans to open a pulp plant in the Netherlands in early 2027. The company is also planning a sector-first new pulp innovation centre designed to support product development, testing and sustainability services.
The company said the new pulp facility will convert post-consumer textiles into dissolving pulp suitable for lyocell fibre production. The move marks a key step in its push to commercialise textile-to-textile recycling technology from the heart of Europe.
