OREGON – US sportswear giant Nike has claimed that the huge switch to digital, online buying is permanent after seeing a massive rise in online sales during its recovery from the coronavirus slump.

The US company said digital sales jumped 82 per cent during the June to August quarter, helping to offset falling revenue in its stores. Nike posted revenue of US$10.6bn thanks to the rapid recovery of many key markets including China.
