DHAKA – Polish fashion group LPP has suspended new orders and product development in Bangladesh as a dispute over approximately US$40m in unpaid garment shipments escalates. The dispute reportedly involves around 40 Bangladeshi manufacturers and buying houses that produced or shipped clothing to Russia-based FES Retail under arrangements suppliers claim were introduced and guaranteed by LPP.
