SAN FRANCISCO – US casualwear brand, Gap, has announced plans to close all 81 of its stores in the UK and Ireland by the end of September. The business said it would continue to sell into those markets but online-only, a stance it will also take across Europe.
The move follows a strategic review of the company’s European operations, which will also see it seeking to offload stores in France and Italy.
