NORTH CAROLINA – UK consumers are among the world’s leading donors and recyclers of unwanted clothing, according to new Cotton Incorporated survey data.
The organisation’s latest global durability survey found that 43 per cent of UK consumers donate unwanted clothing, compared with a global average of 31 per cent. A further 31 per cent of UK consumers said they recycle clothing they no longer wear, ahead of the global average of 29 per cent.
