Textile recycling company Syre signs Vietnam plant deal

GIA LAI – H&M-backed textile recycling business Syre has signed a deal with engineering group ABB as it pushes ahead with its first plant in Vietnam. The companies have signed a memorandum of understanding covering automation, electrification and digital systems for the project. Syre is targeting construction from 2027. Initial smaller runs are planned for 2029, with full operations at scale in 2030.
