Lululemon backs Epoch’s nylon recycling funding round

LONDON – Lululemon has backed a US$12m funding round for Epoch Biodesign as the biotech start-up-scales enzymatic recycling of nylon 6,6. The material is widely used in apparel, carpets, airbags and ropes. The round also included Extantia, Happiness Capital, KOMPAS VC and Leitmotif, taking Epoch’s total funding to more than US$50m.
