Survey finds durability matters to fashion shoppers

LONDON – UK consumers overwhelmingly associate cotton-rich clothing with increased durability , according to new survey data from Cotton Incorporated. Its research found 81 per cent expect garments made with high levels of cotton to outlast those made from man-made fibres. The study, based on a UK sample of 1,017 consumers, also found garments are worn for an average of four years, underlining durability as a significant purchase consideration.
