MADRID – Spanish fashion retailer Inditex is rebounding from the global pandemic faster than its arch-rival H&M. Both businesses released trading figures for the last three months this week which showed that Inditex’s revenues increased to pre-pandemic levels in the latest quarter thanks to the reopening of stores in all markets. Notably however Inditex said it also expects online sales to exceed a quarter of total sales this year. Meanwhile, sales at H&M grew less than expected from a year ago in the three months through August, remaining stuck below pre-pandemic levels.
