WASHINGTON – The Responsible Sourcing Network (RSN) and Cotton Campaign (CC) say they are maintaining the Uzbek Cotton Pledge for the 2020 season because the “risk of forced labour remains high.” The Uzbek Cotton Pledge is a commitment not to allow Uzbek cotton into apparel supply chains due to concerns over forced labour. It has been signed by over 300 brands and retailers, which are said to be in favour of keeping the pledge in place for the time being.
