SINGAPORE – A group of US lawmakers have called on the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to force Shein to independently verify it does not use Uyghur forced labour before it was allowed to sell shares in the US. Two dozen Republican and Democrat politicians have written a letter to the Wall Street watchdog citing, “credible allegations of [Shein] utilising underpaid and forced labour.”
