LONDON – UK Members of Parliament have declared for the first time that genocide is taking place against Uyghurs and other religious minorities in Xinjiang, north-west China.
A motion has been approved by MPs and, while it does not compel the UK to take action, but is further evidence of dismay by UK politicians towards the Chinese government. The Chinese government has responded by suggesting that the UK should “immediately right its wrong moves.”
