WASHINGTON – A new industry report reveals how the US fashion sector is being squeezed by protectionist trade policies under Donald Trump’s second term. According to the 2025 Fashion Industry Benchmarking Study, conducted by Dr Sheng Lu in collaboration with the United States Fashion Industry Association (USFIA), rising tariffs are triggering widespread disruption across sourcing, employment and sustainability efforts.
