Tanzania regenerative cotton farmer numbers jump 88 per cent

HAMBURG – More than 40,000 smallholder farmers in India and Tanzania are now growing cotton under the Regenerative Cotton Standard. This is according to the latest round of independent verifications by the Aid by Trade Foundation. The total includes nearly 5,000 farmers in India and around 37,000 in Tanzania, with the Tanzanian figure up 88 per cent year on year.
