MASSACHUSETTS – Chinese fast fashion retailer Temu has accused its rival Shein of a dirty tricks campaign as the pair continue to trade blows in the battle for the US ‘ultra-fast fashion’ market. Temu has filed a lawsuit in Massachusetts federal court claiming Shein has been threatening and intimidating its 8,000+ Chinese suppliers into not working with Temu. The lawsuit claims Shein sends a warning to all its manufacturers remining them of their ‘Exclusive-Dealing Agreements’ whenever it decides a “highly similar” product has been offered on Temu’s website.
