SHANGHAI – Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics will return from 2–4 September 2025, bringing together leading names from across the global textile supply chain at the National Exhibition and Convention Center.
Organisers say the event will feature upgraded zones, expanded display areas and a packed fringe programme of forums and seminars aimed at exploring trends, sustainability and digitalisation in the fashion and textiles sector.
Among the highlights is the Functional Lab in Hall 4.1, where exhibitors including Burlington, Kbtex Warp Knitting Technology and Unifi Textiles (Suzhou) will showcase innovations in activewear fabrics. A special display, The CUBE, will present smart textiles, outdoor materials and protective apparel.
European mills will feature prominently in the Premium Wool Zone, where Abraham Moon & Sons, Scop Clarenson, Thomas Mason and Yunsa will unveil new collections. The Bespoke Performance area, evolved from the Functional Suiting Display, will highlight luxury suiting and shirting fabrics blending wool, cashmere, tweed, silk and performance materials.
Digitalisation will take centre stage in the Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone, with Shima Seiki presenting its latest digital fabric simulation software, AiDLab unveiling AI design and inspection tools, and the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel demonstrating its Green Machine recycling system for mixed materials.
The fair’s fringe programme will cover design trends, market intelligence and sustainability. NeIlyRodi Agency and PeclersParis will present forecasts for Autumn/Winter 2026–27, while the Econogy Tour in Hall 5.1 will guide visitors through eco-focused innovations. SGS-CSTC will address greener supply chains, and Bureau Veritas will examine compliance with the EU’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation.
Further sessions will explore opportunities in ASEAN markets and the outlook for the UK textile industry, alongside discussions on AI’s role in design and digital product creation.
Buyers will also be able to connect more easily with exhibitors using Connect PLUS, a digital platform providing AI-driven recommendations and integrated scheduling tools.
The event is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and the China Textile Information Centre. It will run alongside Yarn Expo Autumn, CHIC and PH Value, offering visitors access to the full apparel textile value chain in one location.
