HUDDERSFIELD – Researchers have recovered more than 90 per cent of fibre from post-consumer clothing using a combination of enzymes and mechanical processing. The recycling trials were designed to test textile recycling on real, post-consuner garments rather than laboratory fabrics.
The study was led by researchers at the University of Huddersfield, with collaboration from City University of Hong Kong.
