LISBON – A new study has unveiled a fashion sustainability index that combines environmental, social and durability measures into a single A–E score. The research, led by Anabela Gonçalves and colleagues in Portugal, was published in Sustainability earlier this month. It introduces a Product Sustainability Index (ProdSI) designed to simplify complex assessments into a consumer-facing rating, echoing energy-efficiency and Nutri-Score food labels.
