WASHINGTON – Animal rights group PETA has submitted a formal complaint to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) alleging the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and Responsible Animal Fiber (RAF) labels of consultants Textile Exchange (TE) amount to false advertising.

PETA’s complaint asserts TE and companies that use its labels make marketing claims that deceive customers.
