NEW YORK – Animal rights group PETA has submitted a formal complaint to the federal Competition Bureau in Canada alleging the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and Responsible Animal Fiber (RAF) labels of Textile Exchange are misleading and deceive consumers. The complaint follows multiple PETA exposés of the down industry in which PETA claims to have found animal suffering is widespread, including on certified farms.
