LONDON – Online apparel sales rebounded dramatically in April after falling 30 per cent in March. New figures show sales for online fashion and apparel retailers were up 9 per cent on average compared to a year ago in April, with orders 30 per cent higher. Covering the USA and specific countries in Europe, as well as Australia and New Zealand, the figures point to the ‘bounce’ in spending which many analysists predicted.
However, the Average Order Value (AOV) has gone down 3 per cent globally and appears to be staying at a lower level, according to the data from Nosto, the e-commerce platform.
