LONDON – Apparel and textile manufacturing along with cotton farming are claimed to be among the sectors with the largest potential impact on water resources according to a new index. The CDP says it has developed the tool to provide “capital markets with the information needed to take action on water security – an area where progress has lagged behind other environmental issues, such as climate change, both in terms of how well the risks are understood, and how well integrated they are into investment decisions.”
