PORTO – Researchers in Portugal have released a huge new dataset designed to teach machines how to identify fibre composition in clothing.
The 161.5GB HyperTex dataset uses hyperspectral imaging to distinguish between different textile fibres and, crucially, identify the composition of blended materials.
