AMSTERDAM – A major new life cycle assessment (LCA) of organic cotton production in India revealed significant environmental differences between farming practices. Commissioned by the Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA) and conducted by climate consultancy South Pole, the study covered around 18,000 farms across 15 supply sheds over three growing seasons (2020-2023).
