ROME – Italian customs have seized more than 900 tonnes of textile waste that was being illegally shipped under the label of second-hand clothing. Authorities warn the practice is accelerating as Europe struggles to manage rising volumes of low quality garments coming out of fast fashion and separate collection systems.
