Indian cotton pilot shows bee population boost

LONDON – A pilot programme monitoring biodiversity on cotton farms in India has reported a significant increase in bee activity on regenerative farms, according to findings from AgriSound and CottonConnect. The project, which deployed AgriSound’s ‘Polly’ bioacoustic sensors across 28 sites in CottonConnect’s REEL Regenerative Centre of Excellence, recorded a 62 per cent uplift in bee activity on regenerative farms compared to conventional farming systems.
