AMSTERDAM – A new report by the Clean Clothes Campaign (Kampagne für Saubere Kleidung) and the INKOTA Network highlights the impact of Germany’s Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) on the clothing and footwear industries over the past two years. The report, titled ‘Two Years of the German Supply Chain Act: Effects on Apparel and Footwear Supply Chains’, examines the annual reports of seven major companies—Adidas, KiK, NKD, Otto, Witt, Takko, and Zalando—since the Act’s enactment in January 2023. It seeks to provide a civil society perspective on how well these companies are implementing due diligence measures to prevent human rights abuses within their supply chains.
