PARIS – In a move that has significant implications for the fashion industry, France is advocating for an indefinite postponement of the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and a two-year delay for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). These directives mandate companies to disclose their environmental impact and ensure their supply chains adhere to environmental and labour standards.
