Fashion for Good maps ‘near-net-zero’ dyehouse for India

AMSTERDAM – Fashion for Good has published an open-source blueprint which sets out how tier-2 textile mills could move towards “net-zero” operations. The mapping focuses on a mix of best-available and emerging technologies.

Developed with Ahmedabad-based Arvind Ltd as the anchor supplier, the 62-page report focuses on dyeing and finishing of wovens and knits made from cotton, viscose and blended cellulosics in India. It models five technology “pathways,” from a new integrated greenfield plant to a series of retrofit options for existing knit and woven lines.
