BRUSSELS – EU apparel import prices continued to soften in the first four months of 2026 as overall shipment volumes also declined. According to Eurostat data compiled by Mohiuddin Rubel, former director of BGMEA and additional managing director of Denim Expert Ltd, EU apparel imports from the world fell 10.42 per cent year-on-year in January-April 2026, dropping to €27.77bn from €31bn in the same period last year.
