DHAKA – The President of Bangladesh, Mohammed Shahabuddin, has dissolved the nation’s parliament following an ultimatum from student protest leaders. The ultimatum came after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned this week amid protests that led to significant unrest across the country.
Apparel Insider understands the countrywide curfew has now been withdrawn, with banks reopened. Bangladeshi garment manufacturers are expected to resume production from Wednesday.
