DHAKA – Unions in Bangladesh claim garment worker safety has been compromised by the new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Bangladesh Accord Steering Committee and the Bangladesh employers’ association, the BGMEA. Many have seen the agreement as a reasonable compromise – and about the best safety campaigners could have hoped for – but not all are happy with the new deal.
