WASHINGTON – New figures have revealed details of prices received by garment manufacturers around the globe. The lowest paid are Chinese and Ethiopian exporters who were received US$2.35 and US$2.45 respectively per unit or per square metre equivalent (SME) in the US market in 2018. The figures were provided the Office of the Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA) in the US. Bangladeshi exporters received US$2.79 per square metre while Turkish exporters were paid the highest at US$7.38 per square metre.
