WASHINGTON – Chinese apparel shipments to the US fell by more than half in value in the first quarter of 2026 new trade figures show. The latest figures suggest a continued shift in sourcing away from China and towards other Asian suppliers.
New data compiled from OTEXA figures shows US apparel imports from China were worth US$1.70bn in January to March 2026, down from US$3.61bn in the same period last year. This represents a 52.91 per cent fall.
