MADHYA PRADESH – An investigation by non-profit organisation Transparentem has uncovered evidence of extensive child labour and forced labour practices in cotton farms across India’s Madhya Pradesh region. The report raises critical questions for global supply chains linked to high-profile textile and fashion companies.
Conducted between June 2022 and March 2023, the probe identified numerous violations of international and national labour laws, particularly in farms connected to Indian suppliers Pratibha Syntex, Remei India, and Maral Overseas.
