DÜSSELDORF – German retailer, C&A, has declined to commit to paying its suppliers for all completed and in-progress cancelled orders. In a letter to suppliers, the company said it would accept and pay for shipped orders but offered only vague, far-from-reassuring commitments to suppliers with regards unshipped goods, whether they be completed or in production.

The company told suppliers: “We will reinstate the majority of orders of unshipped finished goods or goods still in production … provided we find mutually beneficial solutions with regards to payment status and order details.”
