PARIS – Fast fashion advertising could be banned in France under new proposals. A bill tabled by MP Anne-Cécile Violland will be debated by the Sustainable Development committee on 14 March, after which it could pass to the Senate. The bill seeks to impose penalties on low-cost clothing to cover its environmental impact. Christophe Béchu, France’s Environment Minister, has announced support for he proposed legislation.
