    Better Cotton expands interest in African market

    LONDON – Better Cotton, the world’s largest certified cotton scheme, is launching new mapping and assessments in West and Central Africa. The project aims to “better understand the needs of smallholder farmers in these regions and develop strategies to enhance their livelihoods.” The initiative, backed financially by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), targets Mali and Côte d’Ivoire, where it supports about 200,000 farmers and agricultural workers.
