BRUSSELS – A first-of-its-kind event in Belgium on 4-5 June next year will showcase new and emerging technologies in textile recycling. The focus will be on the recycling of fabrics, clothing, footwear, fibres, and non-wovens.
The Textiles Recycling Expo and its accompanying conference are free to attend. This strategic choice of location is intended to draw a large international crowd from all sectors of the supply chain. This includes recyclers, waste managers, textile producers, clothing suppliers, retailers, and other key players.
“New EU regulations and increasing consumer demands necessitate cross-industry cooperation to create effective solutions for diverting textile waste from landfills,” said Andy Beevers, events director at AMI, the expo’s organiser. “This new exhibition and conference offer a platform for the entire supply chain to explore recycling strategies and technologies, and plan their investments accordingly.”
The exhibition will provide a stage for advancements in addressing textile waste, showcasing the latest sorting, shredding, and recycling technologies. Exhibitors include textile recyclers and manufacturers using reclaimed materials.
Notable companies at the event include Aimplas, Carbios, Closeoop (DBT Fibre), MagnoLab, List Technology, New Retex, Pellenc ST, Picvisa, Reverse Resources, Stadler, and Tomra.
Running parallel to the exhibition, a two-day conference will provide a platform for industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to provide insights and perspectives on textile recycling.
Supported by leading industry organisations such as EuRIC, Fedustria, ReHubs, the Textiles Recycling Association, and Plastics Recycling World. Textiles Recycling Expo is organized by AMI, a prominent provider of international events for the recycling market.
